Our program provides the tools you’ll need to scale quickly, including expert mentoring, weekly workshops, a community of fellow entrepreneurs and assistance in learning about different types of capital as well as various ways to raise capital. And, did we mention our cool co-working space?

Application Criteria

Daring to be Diverse

CAJC accepts San Diego-based startups in various industries, with an emphasis on businesses run by diverse and low to moderate income (LMI) founders. If you’re game for rapid growth and local job creation, we encourage you to take the next step. Check out the criteria, then apply.

We are looking for companies that are:

Launched with a viable product or service that has some measurable traction (such as sales, customers, pilots, users, etc.), and is focused on rapid growth and new jobs creation.

Based in the City of San Diego with founders who reflect the city’s diverse population or who qualify as low to moderate income (LMI)
business owners.

Committed to hiring low to moderate income persons in the City of San Diego when the business is prepared to hire.

Will participate fully in the curriculum and work out of the co-working space during the six-month program.

All services are free, and no equity stake is required


Rigorous weekly courses and immersive programs, including workshops led by business founders and subject matter experts, along with pitch coaching.


Get matched with mentors, gain access to experts, and leverage insights of executives and entrepreneurs.

Professional Offices

Our co-working space offers office support and access to meeting and conference rooms, comfy common areas and a fully outfitted kitchen, office amenities (including high-speed internet and printers), ample parking, and convenient access to public transit.

Events and Engagement

Take part in events, activities and receptions hosted onsite and throughout the local startup community.
