Growing a vibrant, diverse supplier base works best when small and diverse business owners have a clear roadmap to success. The University of San Diego (USD) Supplier Diversity Program is designed to help small and diverse business owners navigate the supplier diversity qualification process.
Learn about supplier diversity basics, including the USD procurement process, and how to qualify for the USD Locally-Owned Small Business Program. The program is offered quarterly at various locations within the community, with the kick-off meeting on the USD Campus.
The program will cover the following topics:
Overview of Federal, State, Local Government, and USD certification programs that are available to small businesses
– Who accepts the certification?
– Identifying certifying agencies
– Eligibility requirements
– Benefits of certification
– University of San Diego (USD) procurement process
In addition, PTAC will offer an introduction to business certifications class, allowing individuals to discover the different federal, state, and local certifications that are available and the criteria for each. This introductory session will cover the Small Business Enterprise, Woman Owned, Minority Owned, Veteran Owned, Disadvantaged, and Disabled Veteran Owned certifications. At the end of each introductory session, the participants will be invited to receive additional assistance from the PTAC to help with the gathering of documents and application process for each appropriate certification.
